Cheeks flushing, An Xiaxia pointed at Sheng Yize. “You – you – you… I – I…”
How could Sheng Yize be this lecherous!
“The rabbit just walked into my pot voluntarily; why should I turn it down?” After saying that matter-of-factly, he gave her another kiss. Watching the little woman as she grew increasingly shy, Sheng Yize had never felt that life could be this sweet before.
He bent down and helped An Xiaxia into the slippers himself.
After leading the little woman into the living room, Sheng Yize couldn’t help but pinch An Xiaxia’s cheek.
She was real, wasn’t she? Not some illusion he had conjured up himself because of how lovesick he was?
An Xiaxia brushed off his hand and said earnestly, “I saw what you sent me, so… here I am.”
Fighting back his surging excitement, Sheng Yize muttered a quiet “hm.” However, his fists clenched involuntarily.
He had never expected An Xiaxia to come all the way to another country to find him!
After some thought, he asked in surprise, “You came here all by yourself?”
An Xiaxia nodded. Seeing Sheng Yize’s face start to darken, she snapped and punched him in his chest. “Why didn’t you answer my calls?”
Sheng Yize cleared his throat and appeased her good-naturedly. “You’re right. It’s all my fault. Please don’t be mad at me.”
As a matter of fact, coming here with Song Qingchen had all been part of his plan.
After he got what he had been looking for, he emailed An Yibei the evidence, but still couldn’t summon up the courage to switch on his phone.
He was so afraid of An Xiaxia’s phone call, of her unwillingness to forgive him, and of her saying she was leaving him again…
Little had he expected that for one reason or other, An Xiaxia had come here to find him herself!
Warmth washed over him and he was overwhelmed by blissfulness. He chuckled and asked, “Do you like the star I gave you?”
“No, I don’t…” An Xiaxia looked away like a little tsundere, regardless of the necklace she had been wearing all this time.
Rubbing the head of the stubborn little woman, he asked, “Are you hungry?”
At the mention of food, An Xiaxia surrendered right away and nodded.
Of course she was hungry! It was such a long flight!
Sheng Yize rose to his feet and began to bustle around in the open-plan kitchen. Soon, he came out with a sandwich.
An Xiaxia held it in both hands and gobbled it down.
Halfway through, Sheng Yize suddenly snatched the sandwich out of her hands. He raised an eyebrow and asked, “Was it that good?”
“Of course… not! It was just alright…” An Xiaxia wouldn’t give in.
“Well, if that’s the case, I’ll finish it for you.” He began to eat it with a smile, while An Xiaxia watched helplessly.
Taking the food out of a glutton’s mouth? Really, Mr. Idol?
Seeing that the delicious sandwich was disappearing into Sheng Yize’s mouth, An Xiaxia was torn apart. “S- stop it. Leave some for me…”
She eyed Sheng Yize unblinkingly. He then stopped eating, crossed his legs, and said unhurriedly, “Still mad at me?”
An Xiaxia had forgotten all about her disgruntlement where food was concerned. She shook her head immediately.
“Are you going to threaten to break up with me again?”
She went on shaking her head.
“Good.” A certain fellow finally showed mercy and gave the sandwich back to An Xiaxia, who wolfed it down in two bites, fearing that it might be taken away again.
After she was fed, Sheng Yize waved at her. “Now go wash up.”
“!!!” Why did those words sound so weird?
Sheng Yize rubbed his chin. “How am I going to enjoy you if you don’t wash yourself clean first? You might be full, but I’m still hungry.”
An Xiaxia was speechless. Was it too late to fly back home now?!
